I find myself unable to study for the upcoming finals. This may be due to either the lack of self-discipline or my not knowing of how to study smart.
SO. To scare and motivate myself into studying, I have constructed a timeline, of the entire Form 4 syllabus that I have to study, bearing in mind that starting from tomorrow, I will have exactly 3 weeks left to the exams.
And here it is!
Biology - 9 chapters, 2 chapters untaught yet as of today, be it in tuition or school. 3 chapters per week.
Physics - 5 chapters, 1 chapter untaught yet as of today. Roughly 1 and a half chapters per week, not forgetting all the definitions and principles we have to remember.
Chemistry - 9 chapters - 1 chapter untaught yet as of today. 3 chapters per week. And all the formulas and colours and balanced equations to remember!
Add Math - 11 chapters, 1 and half chapters not taught yet as of today. Roughly 3 and a half chapters per week.
Mod Math - 11 chapters, roughly 3 and a half chapters per week. I'm gonna die here because I haven't really been paying attention in Mod Math class for the WHOLE year.
Sejarah - 10 chapters - I'm gonna die here too because like Mod Math, I haven't been paying attention in class. 3 and a third chapters per week.
Moral - 36 moral values/nilai murnis. That's not including all the Acts and Laws we ahve to remember and not to mention the picky the marking scheme is about which moral value you can use for a situation. 12 moral values to be memorized per week.
Malay - A literature component made up of 30 different types of classical prose, modern prose, poetry, short stories, and dramas. That's not mentioning the 3 essays, 1 summary and all the grammar parts we'll have to do in the exam. I... don't know how to put this into a timetable.
English - This is okay. But there's still a need to read up on the Literature component though.
Chinese - UGH. I don't even want to talk about this. We have to memorize all the ming ju jing huas from Remove class to Form 4. I don't even know how many there are! Like what the heck. DIE.
So, the conclusion is: I'M DEAD.
I know what you're thinking. It's just finals right? There's nothing to worry about. But the thing is, this isn't JUST finals. This is also how the school will stream us next year. Yeah, that's right, they're streaming us in our senior year, a stupid move, but they can't help it.
So if you do badly in your finals, you go to a not-so-good class in whatever stream you're in. When you go to a not-so-good class, you get not-so-good teachers, who teach you in a not-so-good way. Thus, you get not-so-good results for SPM.
And when that happens, well.... you know what happens.
I HAVE TO DO WELL FOR FINALS. God, help me.
