Simple Plan.

One of my favorite bands, of all time.

Their songs will always be classics to me. And you wanna know why?

Because in the midst of all the thrash Illuminati-sponsored artists(if you can call them that) who only sing songs about sex nowadays(*cough Lady Gaga cough Rihanna cough Jay-Z cough and also other people who I can't be bothered with to mention), Simple Plan actually has songs with meaningful lyrics.

I mean, sure, there are plenty more bands out there with meaningful lyrics and catchy tunes, but with Simple Plan, it's so EASY to relate to them. And even if you can't relate, you can imagine, how it would be like.

One song of theirs that I think most people I know would be able to relate to, especially this year, is Save You. It was written for Jay Bouvier, lead singer Pierre Bouvier's brother who fought in a battle against cancer. Fought, and won. :)

Jay Bouvier, cancer survivor since July 2005.

Take a breath, I pull myself together,
Just another step until I reach the door,
You'll never know the way it tears me up inside to see you

I wish that I could tell you something,
To take it all away.

Sometimes I wish I could save you.
And there's so many things that I want you to know.
I won't give up till it's over.
If it takes you forever, I want you to know.

If you fall, stumble down,
I'll pick you up off the ground.
If you lose faith in you,
I'll give you strength to pull through.
Tell me you won't give up,
Cause I'll be waiting if you fall.
You know, I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU.

Those were some of the lyrics of Save You. You see what I mean when I say meaningful?

Blogging about this kind of reminds me of E Kent. Haih. It's been more than 4 months, and I still can't believe it. That day I read a short story in English class, The Death Car, that reminded me of the Pontianak story we co-authored together. :)

How could this happen to him?
